This speaker packs in a lot of sound in a small package. I took it out of the box and only had to read the instructions once (and-buttons have two functions, depending on how long you keep them). at full volume, can be easily heard over the course of several rooms, and the sound quality is decent. is robust enough and Yes, waterproof. the photo is me holding the speaker under my kitchen faucet (not recommend this). the speaker kept while working
